This sample shows the use of the IT as a drone instrument behind the Sarod, an Indian classical instrument which Dana has studied extensively.

The IT is an instrument that was developed by Dana Flavin for a performance art project called IGNEOUS IT.

The group built several different sound creation instruments. The music Igneous It played was in utter defiance of all musical standards.

Since then Dana has used the IT in many performances and jams alike. Three years ago, Dana and some friends put together a project called VOLTAGEWHORE (www.myspace.com/voltagewhore) which uses the same basic musical tenants as Igneous It.
